Tivoli Doelen Amsterdam hotel is one of Amsterdam's oldest and finest five-star hotels. This beautiful building dates back to the 17th century and is located on the banks of the Amstel River, in the historic heart of Amsterdam. It won't surprise you that over three centuries, it has hosted royal and legendary guests, from Queen Victoria to the Beatles. Rembrandt's 'Night Watch' was painted to display within its walls. Our hotel is monumental and offers a classic contemporary look. The tram and metro stop Rokin is around the corner, as is Rembrandtplein. We work in a small team and know each other well. What’s in it for us?
- Has a diploma in food production (MBO 4)
- Has at least 4 years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine in a similar establishment, preferably Michelin star/ fine dining restaurants
- Has knowledge of kitchen hygiene activities and health and safety standards
- Is creative, has a hands-on mentality, and eager to exceed expectations together with his/her team
- Excellent communication skills and proficient in the English Language
What will you do?
As the Head Chef, you will create, prepare, and execute menus and dishes for Omber Restaurant. In this role you will be responsible for the entire Kitchen Brigade ensuring maximum guest experience through planning, organizing, coaching, and leading the kitchen operation and administration. Your main challenge will be to take your culinary team to a higher level by inspiring and motivating each individual to give their best.
Your responsibilities
- Maintaining culinary standards for Omber Restaurant by ensuring that the dishes are prepared and presented according to the predefined quality levels.
- Ensuring that the quality of products is up to standard and making sure that the entire kitchen team is committed as well.
- Training and coaching of the Kitchen team concerning product knowledge, menu engineering, and exceeding expectations.
