Tivoli Doelen Amsterdam hotel is one of Amsterdam's oldest and finest five-star hotels. This beautiful building dates back to the 17th century and is located on the banks of the Amstel River, in the historic heart of Amsterdam. It won't surprise you that over three centuries, it has hosted royal and legendary guests, from Queen Victoria to the Beatles. Rembrandt's 'Night Watch' was painted to display within its walls. Our hotel is monumental and offers a classic contemporary look. The tram and metro stop Rokin is around the corner, as is Rembrandtplein. We work in a small team and know each other well. We have a lot of personal contact with our guests and because of our small size we help each other in all departments to achieve that 'extraordinary' guest experience.

What are you going to do?

As Maintenance Manager you are responsible for all technical aspects within the hotel. This varies from solving malfunctions to carrying out repairs and maintenance on installations, energy supplies, sanitary facilities, and lighting. You motivate and enthuse team members to get the best out of themselves, you prepare rosters, and you give instructions regarding electrical and mechanical aspects.

You also manage maintenance contacts with external companies regarding malfunctions in lifts, air conditioning, cooling- and sprinkler installations. You are responsible for the periodic inspections, checks and maintenance/cleaning work on equipment, and the renovations. You monitor compliance with the regulations in the field of safety, working conditions, HACCP and work and presentation methods. You are service-oriented, innovative, and pay attention to quality. A can do mentality is required as you can be called up for breakdown services.
